
The Indianola and Norwalk girls wrestling teams will both be represented at the state meet later this week after placing in the top two of their qualifying meets Friday. The Indianola girls will send first place finishers Siera Becker at 100lbs and Nora Ohnemus at 105lbs as both went undefeated on the day, while Callie Chapman at 125lbs fell in the first round but wrestled all the way back to earn a second place finish, and Jazelle Smith at 170lbs fell in the championship match but secured a victory and a qualification in the second place tilt.
Norwalk will have one representative at the state meet, as Katelynne Liedtke placed second at 170lbs, falling in the first round but making the run through all the consolation matches to earn qualification.
The state meet is this Thursday and Friday at the Xtream Arena in Coralville.
