A flower market in Pella is inviting the community to an event which will be part celebration and part charitable work.

Thistles is hosting Galentine’s Day on Sunday, February 8th from noon to 3 p.m. at their location in downtown Pella.

The ticketed event includes activities centered around pampering, creativity, and supporting a meaningful cause. This Galentine’s, the store is partnering with foster care non-profit organizations to provide Valentine’s gifts for the young women at Ellipsis Youth Shelter.

As part of the event, participants will help in creating 12 gift bags—one for each girl currently living at the shelter.
