The Marion County Board of Supervisors continued their annual budget session on Tuesday.

This is the annual week where the board finalizes department budgets for the upcoming fiscal year. February 21st is the county’s target date to be completed to allow publications and meetings to take place, as required by House File 718. The Marion County approved budget is then due to the State of Iowa by April 30th. Tuesday was a busy day as the board reviewed finances for the Treasurer, Attorney, Public Health, Maintenance, and IT/GIS Departments. 

The budget session will continue today at 3014 E Main St. in Knoxville and is expected to wrap up on Thursday.
