The Newton boys wrestling team wrapped up their regular season with three convincing home dual wins Tuesday night. The Cardinals won all thirteen matches against Saydel in a 77-0 victory. Newton beat Des Moines North 70-6, winning all but one match against the Polar Bears. The Cardinals went 8-5 in matches with Pleasantville, and won that dual 45-26.

Three match winners for Newton were Kent Montgomery, Abel Aldama, Asher Rhoads, Chevy Langston, Nick Milburn, and Coleby Revell. Seven other Cardinal wrestlers won two matches and lost one. 

The duals at Newton High School were the Cardinals final action before the Class 3A District meet on Saturday, February 15th in Carlisle.
