An award winning Iowa blues quartet will put on a special live blues music performance this evening at Newton’s Public Library. “John Resch and Doggin’ Out” will give a free two hour performance in the library’s meeting room at 5 p.m. Resch is the vocalist and bassist for the swing/jump blues quartet based out of the Quad Cities that won the 2024 Iowa Blues Challenge. John Resch is also a 2025 Iowa Blues Hall of Fame inductee. 

Tonight’s performance is part of the Blues Under the Blue Roof concert series sponsored by the South Skunk Blues Society, The Arts Connection, and the Newton Public Library Foundation.
