
Norwalk junior Katie Liedtke finished with an 0-2 record on Thursday in the Class 2A Girls State Wrestling Tournament at Coralville’s Xtream Arena.
Making her state meet debut, Liedtke was seeded 13th in the 2A 170-pound bracket. She lost a competitive 7-5 decision to fourth-seeded Ava Pfab of Western Dubuque in round one. She was pinned in 45 seconds by fifth-seeded Kayma Burleson of Clear Lake in a first round consolation match.
Liedtke finished the season with a match record of 28-19. She is the second state qualifier in the three-year history of Norwalk girls wrestling.
