Simpson put on an offensive clinic, shooting nearly 59 percent from the field, and 56 percent beyond the arc, led by Bo Huston’s 27 points as Simpson defeated Coe 83-78 on Wednesday night.

The Storm (5-16, 2-10 A-R-C) showed up in front of packed Cowles Fieldhouse as the athletic department honored their student-athletes academic achievements last semester. Huston proved to be the catalyst on the offensive end, tying his career-high with 27 points on 9-for-15 shooting and four 3-pointers. The guard also added a team-high seven rebounds, and three assists.

Adding to Huston’s production was fellow backcourt pairing Levi Gurwell with his 20 points. Gurwell went 8-for-12 from the field, and also landed four 3-pointers, along with his four steals, three assists, and three rebounds. Austin Murrow and Nathaniel Winter combined for 14 points, six rebounds, six assists, and six steals to help the Storm to their second win in conference action.
