Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Marion County is holding weekly home gardening webinars.

The webinars are free of charge and anyone is welcome to attend. The webinars are held on Thursdays at 6:00 pm weekly and run through March 13th.  Upcoming topics during these webinars will include blueberry production, perennial and shrub trials, and roses for Iowa. Lydia Dingeman with Marion County Extension says these webinars are opportunities to learn something new in months that may be slower for some people.

“It’s the perfect timing for people to learn something new about the garden because in the summer time you’re busy in the garden, or work, or sporting activities with kids things like that so you don’t have time for it as much. This opportunity of these quick one hour sessions to learn is great for you to encourage you to try something new in your garden or if there is something you’ve always been interested in but just don’t know much about it, it’s a quick easy way to come to our office and all of these can be registered online for you to watch in your home as well.”

These webinars require preregistration, which can be done by calling Lydia at 641-842-2014.
