During the month of February, the Pella Public Library is encouraging residents to peruse their collection of more than 100 cake pans, and take home a cake mix and frosting upon check-out, courtesy of the Pella Fareway and Pella Hy-Vee. The library offers a wide variety of cake pans for patrons to borrow, including heart pans to celebrate Valentine’s Day, as well as Superman, Winnie the Pooh, Smurfs, or Scooby Doo. The library is also offering a Cake Decorating Basics class with Amanda Rauch on Monday at 2:00 pm. The class is free and open ages 12 and older, and those wanting to attend are asked to register by calling the library at 641-628-4268 or by using the link here.
