
Six Norwalk swimmers will compete for Des Moines Lincoln at today’s Boys District Swimming Meet at Waukee. Competition begins at noon as individuals and relay teams vie for spots in next weekend’s State Swimming Meet at Iowa City. The district field also includes Atlantic, Carroll, Centerville, Des Moines Roosevelt, Lewis Central, Waukee and Waukee Northwest.
Norwalk swimmers participating for the Rails include Brayden Plourde, Keegan Kraft, Kingston Smith, Daxton Hughes, Dayton Wright and Dylan Wright.
The Norwalk boys basketball team travels to West Des Moines Valley High School for today’s State Basketball Crossover event. The Warriors, now 8-8 on the season, will take on 9-8 Johnston at 12:00 p.m. Norwalk lost an overtime game at Dallas Center-Grimes on Tuesday night. Johnston snapped a five-game losing streak on Tuesday with a win over Ankeny Centennial.
