Now that the South Central Conference season is over the Knoxville basketball Squads can round out their respective regular seasons with non-conference squads from the area, starting Monday with a road game against Oskaloosa. The 3A #3 Panther boys are looking to prepare for the class 3A substate with team that may or may not appear in Knoxville’s bracket. While the Indians come in at 6-11 and at the bottom of the Little Hawkeye Conference, Oskaloosa has been battle tested and Coach Joel Keady tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he is glad his team is facing squads that will give them various challenges.

Keady: “Which is what we need. We need to ramp up here and fight every single night and see where we go.”

The girls are trying to finish the regular season with the last two games by competing as much as they can. Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Monday against Oskaloosa and the regular season finale at Fairfield on Tuesday, are games that he wants to see his team, win or lose, make an effort. The girls are set to get underway Monday at 6:00.
