The Knoxville Public Library is holding “Blind Date with a Book” throughout the month of February.

Residents can go into the library and tell the staff what genre they are interested in, and the staff will set you up with a book that has an undisclosed title and is covered with paper. You can locate the cart display in the fiction section at the library and Knoxville Public Library Director Roslin Thompson encourages everyone to participate and try something new.

“We have a lot of really good books in the library and so what we’ve done is chosen a few that we think are interesting. We’ve wrapped them up in brown paper so you don’t know what you’re checking out, but there are descriptors of the book so you kind of know if it’s romance, or historical fiction, or a thriller. Just take a chance and go for it.”

The Knoxville Public Library is located at 213 E Montgomery St.
