Much of the area has already received 4-6″ of snow today, and once the precipitation is over, much colder air will settle in Thursday morning. According to the National Weather Service, windchills will approach 20 below zero Thursday morning. Frostbite can occur in as little as 30 minutes without proper precautions in those conditions.
Another round of snowfall is possible Friday evening into Saturday morning. Initial forecasts show light accumulations are possible, but may be enough to disrupt some travel during that time. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for updates.
