The Indianola School Board approved the 2025-26 school calendar at their meeting Monday, setting the first day of school for August 25th. Superintendent Tara Paul tells KNIA News the calendar creation process included months of input from teachers, staff, students, and parents, to find the best balance for days off and evening activities including a two-week Christmas break and keeping parent-teacher conferences off of traditional family nights such as Halloween or Valentine’s Day.
