The Knoxville Public Library is holding chess hour.
The weekly event is held every Wednesday in February from 3:45 pm – 5:00 pm and is for kids who are in 3rd-7th grade. The chess hour is held in the Weiler Room of the library, and provides an opportunity to challenge yourself against other players in the community. Knoxville Public Library Director Roslin Thompson says the event also gives kids a chance to learn how to play the game.
“If you do not know how to play chess you are still welcome to come and learn how to play chess. It’s a really fun activity. We usually provide some light snacks for people who come to that.”
The event is free and the library is located at 213 E Montgomery St.
