
The Pleasantville girls and boys basketball teams defeated Interstate 35 on the road Tuesday night as Braylon Bingham surpassed 1,000 career points in his sophomore season.
The Trojan girls won their contest 55-29 and were led in scoring by Joelle Johnson who had 22 points and Taylor Perkins who had 13. The Pleasantville girls end the regular season with a 13-9 overall record.
The Trojan boys defeated the Roadrunners 68-60 as Braylon Bingham scored 36 points to surpass 1,000 career points for his career as a sophomore. Coach Taylor Phipps says Bingham is a great person, great teammate, and a great player and that his team was able to pull out a tough and scrappy road win. The Trojan boys improve to 10-10 overall.
The Trojan girls will next compete in the first round of regional play on Saturday night against Van Buren County and the boys will be back in action on Thursday against Ankeny Christian.
