A winter storm warning is impacting the region today. According to the National Weather Service, a total of 4-7 inches of snow is expected, which will be coupled with wind gusts up to 20 MPH and wind chills dropping below zero at times. Travel is expected to be difficult throughout the day, even as state, county, and city plows are in operation. Those who do travel are reminded to do so with caution and to avoid crowding or passing plows while they work to clear roads. Area schools are out of class today and depending on the final amount of snow, early morning travel will be impacted Thursday morning as well. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for updates.
