Roberts told KNIA/KRLS Sports it has been a lifelong dream to make it to state.
Roberts: “Feels really really good. This has been a goal since I was a kid, and growing up in a wrestling family and a wrestling community. I got nine wins as a freshman, and wanted to get up here and get to state and got the job done.”
Roberts was the lone Panther to advance to state however other wrestlers still finished on the podium. Hunter Lund was 3rd at 113 pounds, Joe Finnegan was 4th at 120, Jessen Ferguson was 4th at 126, and Christian Braida was 4th at 190 pounds.
