Registration is open for the Caring for Conservation Golf Classic at Newton’s city owned Westwood Golf Course. The golf outing is a fundraiser for the Environmental Education Center that the Jasper County Conservation Center is building just south of Interstate 80 on the east edge of town. Proceeds will go towards items needed for the Conservation Center’s classrooms, such as tables, chairs, projectors, white boards and laptops.

The 4-person best shot scramble will be held Saturday, May 31st beginning at 9:00 am. A 4-person team (registered as a “family”) is $360.00 which includes 18 holes, cart, lunch, and two drink tickets. For more information, contact Newton’s Westwood Golf Course or visit the link here.:
