A non-profit organization in Colfax that helps men and women dealing with addictions is preparing for one of their three big fundraisers of the year. Sheepgate runs a faith based residential program, and gets substantial funding from the three vehicle auctions they hold each year. Sheepgate President Mike Hunsberger says the money generated from these auctions allows them to serve individuals who can not afford to pay for help.

“It allows us to not say no to someone who is struggling. Many programs have moved into a tuition based program. We want to continue to bring in people and support them, and this is one of the ways we are able to do that.”

The next Sheepgate vehicle auction is coming up at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 1st at their Colfax location, and vehicles can be viewed from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. the Friday before the auction. Hear more about the auction from Sheepgate President Mike Hunsberger on today’s Let’s Talk Newton.
