Dangerous wind chills are continuing to impact the area through Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Values won’t top zero degrees until Saturday afternoon, and actual air temperatures will remain in the single digits and overnight lows will drop well below zero during that time as well. Air temperatures will vault into the low 30s by Saturday and to near 50 degrees by Monday. No significant precipitation is in the forecast over the next week as well. Those who need to be outdoors this week will want to continue to take precautions for themselves, their children, and pets, as wind chills near 20 below zero can cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes.
