The Pella Christian boys bowling squad competed at the Class 1A State Qualifying meet hosted by Davis County at Champion Bowl in Ottumwa on Tuesday. As a team, the Eagle Boys finished in seventh place with a score of 1938. Andrew Van Kooten led the way for Pella Christian on the day with a 3 game series of 514, followed by Nathan Brouwer at 428 and Alex Van Gorp at 412. Rounding out the Eagles lineup was Evan De Jong at 385, Logan Nunnikhoven at 384, and Ethan Klaasen at 359. The Pella Christian boys will wrap up the season for the Eagles bowling teams on Friday, as they compete in the Two Rivers Bowling Conference meet that was postponed last Saturday due to weather.
