
Hailey Gronendyk has been selected as the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Dispatcher of the Year.
This was an award that was voted on by Gronendyk’s peers. Since 2020 Gronendyk has been a full-time member of the dispatch team for the department while also serving as a reserve officer for the Knoxville Police Department. A social media post from the Sheriff’s department states”

Hailey consistently goes above and beyond in her duties, which include answering 911 calls, managing routine calls, paging rescue personnel, and overseeing a variety of monitoring systems. Her attention to detail, calm demeanor in high-stress situations, and ability to multitask efficiently make her an indispensable asset to our team and to the community she serves.
Her peers have consistently acknowledged the positive impact she has on the department and the public, with her work ethic and compassion being a shining example of what it means to be a dedicated dispatcher.”
