
The Newton boys basketball team wraps up the regular season on the road tonight against #8 ADM.
The Cardinals are on a two game non-conference winning streak. Since losing on the road to Norwalk in the conference finale on Tuesday, February 11th, Newton has won home games against class 2A Van Meter and fellow class 3A opponent Bondurant-Farrar. The Cardinals have had a balanced scoring attack, with senior Landon Bozarth leading the team with 11.6 points per game, while senior Cade Bauer and junior Caden Klein both average 9.3 points a ballgame.
ADM’s leading scorer is junior Hudson Lorensen, who averages 24.6 points per game. ADM, a member of the Raccoon River conference, enters tonight’s game with an overall record of 17-4, while Newton’s season record stands at 11-9. Tonight’s game at ADM High School begins at 7 p.m.
