The Indianola boys basketball team had one of their best performances of the season Thursday evening as they defeated Bondurant-Farrar 61-48 as heard live on 94.3 KNIA. The Indians boys had a back and forth first quarter with the Bluejays going on a late run to lead 15-13 at the end of the frame, but the Indians went on an 11-4 run to take a lead they wouldn’t give back. The Indians led 33-25 at halftime then extended the lead to 50-38 at the end of the third. Despite multiple runs by the Bluejays to get the lead into single digits, the Indians would always answer.
Head coach Jeff Ebling says answering a teams run is part of this team learning how to win, something they have gotten better and better at over the course of the season.
George Blake had 21 points to lead the team, while Easton McGraw had 17. Indianola ends the regular season with a 7-14 record, and will travel to Des Moines Lincoln on Monday for the first round of substate play.
