The group responsible for the organization of Pella’s signature spring celebration is gearing up for the annual tradition.
The 90th annual Tulip Time festival is set for May 1st through the 3rd, and Pella Historical Museums is seeking volunteers to assist with a wide range of needs. Pella Historical Museums Director Jessi Galligan says there are roles that involve Dutch costumes and many that don’t.
Responsibilities include those who can assist at the museums and exhibits at the Vermeer Windmill, Historical Village, and Scholte House, as well as ticket takers, Information Windmill Greeters, street scrubbers, and Dutch dancers. Also, non-profit groups and individuals are encouraged to help with parking and street barricades, which are paid positions.
