After weather postponed the Two Rivers Conference meet, the full Dutch boys bowling team finished their 2025 season on Friday.
Pella finished in 7th in the team event with a 2689 series.
“The boys threw the ball well, but struggled with a number of ill-timed splits that made it hard to get into a rhythm,” said Head Coach Bryan Smith.
State Qualifier Alex Bishara finished 7th in individuals with a 654 series, including a 226 and a 247 game. Kaiden VanderWal and Zander Beckey both finished with a 589 series.
“I thought the boys had a decent day today. They had some struggles with their spare shooting, and they had a number of ugly splits that created some challenges. But Kaiden and Jack (Weaver) had nice days that served as great conclusions to their Pella bowling careers, and I was proud of our boys for finishing the season strong,” said Smith.
The conference tournament wraps up the season for Pella as a team, but Bishara will bowl in the state tournament on Tuesday morning at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo.
