The PCM girls basketball team fell on the road to Williamsburg Saturday night in the Class 3A Region 1 final.

In front of a large Mustang crowd who made the drive to Williamsburg, the Mustangs fell down 23-12 at the end of the first quarter which became the difference maker as PCM was then only outscored by three points in the remaining three quarters combined as they hung with the Raiders for the remainder of the game. The Mustangs ultimately dropped the contest 57-43. PCM was led in scoring by freshman Libby Winters who had 20 points. The Mustangs end their season with a 21-4 overall record as they come up just short of a trip to the state tournament. The Mustangs will graduate two seniors in Addison Steenhoek and Rebecca DeVries. Steenhoek was a 1,000 point scorer and a staple of the team’s success over the past several seasons.
