Commuters on Highway 92 in Indianola should be prepared for possible congestion over the next several days, with construction work coming on the traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 92 and Buxton Street.
City of Indianola Public Works Director Akhilesh Pal tells KNIA News the project aims to upgrade the lights and signal to help traffic flow more freely, and all of the underground work for the project is completed, and they have been waiting on parts to complete the above-ground work.
Because of the construction work today, the intersection will operate in an all-way red flash light, functioning as a four-way stop. The city asks drivers to use caution while traveling in the area and be prepared to follow right-of-way rules. The work is expected to be completed by the end of day tomorrow.
