
Four players from the Pleasantville girls basketball team have received West Central All Conference honors.
Senior Joelle Johnson received first team honors. Johnson has been one of the top guards in Class 2A the last two seasons and has been a staple of the Pleasantville girls basketball team. This season Johnson averaged 17.4 points per game, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.6 steals. This season Johnson broke the school record for points in a game with 40 which is a record she also broke last season. Johnson also has surpassed 1,000 career points.
Freshman Taylor Perkins received second team all-conference honors. Perkins had a breakout season for the Trojans as the second leading scorer on the team. Perkins averaged 9.1 points per game, 5.3 rebounds, and two steals. Hope DeMan and Ryleigh Hardman both earned honorable mention honors. DeMan a senior and Hardman a freshman were both regular starters for the Trojans this past season. DeMan has been a key post player for Pleasantville the last couple seasons and Hardman showed glimpses of a bright future ahead as a young player. The Trojans finished the season with a 14-10 overall record.
