The Jasper County Board of Supervisors have created a five member wage committee. Board Chairman Brandon Talsma says the committee will establish pay recommendations for the Board of Supervisors to consider. 

“This Wage Committee will work with all of the county’s elected officials and department heads the rest of this year and into next year, to discuss hiring in wages and whether we need to make adjustments. So when we start the next fiscal year, all these conversations have already been had. “

The new committee consists of Jasper County Human Resources Director Dennis Simon, County Auditor Jenna Jennings, Deputy Auditor Melissa Hartgers, Auditor’s Office Payroll Clerk Lori Nore, and County Supervisor Thad Nearmyer.
