Over 80 vehicles including cars, trucks, motorcycles, campers and boats are being auctioned off in Colfax today as a fundraiser for a non-profit organization. Sheepgate in Colfax is a faith based residential, and non-residential program that helps men and women dealing with addictions. Sheepgate President Mike Hunsberger says they hold three donated vehicle auctions every year to raise revenue.
“It allows us to cut out the middleman and sell those vehicles directly to those people who want to buy a great vehicle and in the process support Sheepgate. And their support is literally what keeps us moving and allows us to continue to bring in students who might not have the financial means to cover a lot of other programs.”
The 10 a.m. auction on the Sheepgate Campus at 900 North League Road in Colfax is scheduled to go until mid-afternoon today.
