The Indianola City Council meets in regular session Monday. The council will consider how to fill the council vacancy after Councilman Steve Richardson was approved as Indianola Mayor at their most recent meeting, either via appointment or special election. Richardson was elected as an at-large member of the council in 2021, with the seat up for re-election this fall.

The council will also consider an appointment Parks and Recreation Commission, a revised Preliminary Plat for Pickard Commerce Park Plat 1, and discuss Vision 2030.

After the council meeting, the council will hold a study session discussing sewer rates, the Hotel/Motel Tax distribution, and reserve funds. The council meeting begins at 6pm in the city council chambers at Indianola City Hall.
