
Ulysses Patterson broke the school record in the Heptathlon, winning four of the seven events, and won the conference’s Field Athlete of the Meet as Simpson made history throughout the A-R-C Championships on Saturday.
Ulysses Patterson shattered his own school record in the Heptathlon, becoming the first Storm athlete to surpass the 5,000 point mark. Patterson finished with 5,021, winning the event and earned all-conference honors. For his efforts in the Heptathlon, Patterson was named the A-R-C Field Athlete of the Meet.
Clarke Latcham also earned all-conference honors in the Heptathlon, earning 4730 points which breaks his own personal record, and takes third best in school history.
Joseph Sams placed fourth overall in the 200m dash with a time of 22.19, which ranks second best in school history. The 4×800 relay team consisting of C. Truitt, R. North, O. Diediker, C. Mash recorded the second best time in program history. Kendrick Achebe nearly earned all-conference in the 60m dash, finishing fourth overall with a time of 6.94 in the finals. Brenden Godbout placed eighth overall in the 60m hurdles, and his time 8.41 in the prelims puts him ninth in school history. James Johnson finished eighth in the mile with a time of 4:20.88, which placed him ninth all-time in program history. The 4×400 relay team’s time of 3:21.90 was 10th best in program history. The distance medley relay team’s time of 10:28.40 was 10th best in school history.
