The Indianola boys swimming team featured a young roster in the 2024-25 season. The Indians had just three seniors on the squad, including their only two state qualifiers in Ethan Russel and Isaiah Picard. Russel just missed out on a finals qualifying spot in the 50 Freestyle with a 17th place finish, and finished in 24th in the 100 Freestyle, also missing the finals. Isaiah Picard placed 2nd in both the 100 and 200 Para Freestyle competitions.

Head coach Aaron Strain tells KNIA Sports the team brings in athletes from all around south central Iowa, and have a lot of room to grow in the future.

The Indians bring back 13 underclassmen for next season.
