After an opening weekend that saw the Central College softball team finish 2-2 and pick up a win against #20 ranked Calvin College, the Dutch fell back in the NFCA rankings to #16.

The team picked up two wins behind complete games from Emma Beck, including scoring eight runs in the sixth inning against Calvin. There are no other American Rivers Conference teams in the rankings this week and East Texas Baptist University remains ranked #1.

The Dutch will return to the field when they travel to Louisville, Kentucky and take on Hanover College (Ind.) on March 12 with a doubleheader starting at 3 pm.
