The Indianola Noon Lions is partnering with the Helping Hand of Warren County and the Indianola Community School District for the Cereal Box Dominoes Fundraiser. Over the last several months, the Lions club, students, and members of the community have been donating cereal that will be lined up in a formation and toppled over at the Indianola Middle School next week.
John Akers with the Indianola Noon Lions tells KNIA News the Lions club started this project because they saw a need in the community to help kids eat breakfast.
“This event is the first of its kind in central Iowa. Our main purpose of this venture is to raise food stocks of cereal and milk for the Helping Hand. They are always in need of cereal, and we know how expensive cereal is these days.”
