The City of Indianola is continuing the search for a new city manager, which began in December after the departure of former city manager Ben Reeves. Interim City Manager Wade Wagoner announced his resignation earlier this week, and Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson tells KNIA News despite the leadership void, the city is in good hands with the current employees to keep the city running until a new city manager can be hired.

“I really do appreciate Wade’s position and what he is looking at, and we wish him well in the future. As far as the city is concerned, we have some great staff. We’ve got great people in place with our department head. I’ve always said that our city is our staff, so we need to make sure we understand that those great folks will pick up the ball and continue to pull forward until we can get a city manager on board.”
