The City of Knoxville will hold a comprehensive draft plan open house on Wednesday, March 19th.
This event is to allow citizens to provide thoughts on the initial draft of Knoxville’s Comprehensive Plan. Those who attend the open house can learn about the proposed plan, previous input that has shaped the work, and how the city is preparing for action. Participants will also be able to help refine the plan content, including goals and strategies and engage in activities to help shape future growth areas. The event will be from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Knoxville Public Library. City Manger Heather Ussery says the city has been working with MSA in the process.
“A few months ago we had an open house for the comp plan and received feedback from the community. We also have been working with planning and zoning and city council in regards to developing the comp plan. MSA is the firm that we are utilizing for this project, so they along with staff, have been working with us coming up with a draft for the plan that will be presented to planning and zoning in March along with our March 17th meeting to city council to continue to gain feedback.”
