When Newton Main Street hosts their first Farmer’s Market of the year, it will be at a new location. Newton Main Street Executive Director Erin Yeager says the Farmer’s Market is being moved from the northside of Newton’s downtown square, to the Legacy Plaza Greenspace. Yeager says the new location will allow for additional vendors, and eliminate the need for blocking off parking spaces on the northside of the square. It’s also going to allow for expanded Farmer’s Markets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

“We’ll go from 4p.m. to 7p.m. with live music from 5p.m. to 7p.m. and food trucks. Bring your family, chairs, and blankets. Come down and enjoy that music. Those will be themed markets on that third Tuesday. We are going to have some activities and a lot of fun.”

In addition to produce, the Newton Farmer’s Market features arts, crafts, and informational booths. Newton Main Street hosts the Farmer’s Market every Tuesday from June 3rd through September 30th. With the expectation of the themed nights, the Newton Farmer’s Market is held from 4p.m. to 6 p.m.
