The Knoxville Bowling Squads ended their respective seasons a few weeks ago. While the Panthers did not qualify anyone for the State Meet, Coach Shaun Renard tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he was pleased overall with the season even if his bowlers fell just short of a state berth.
Renard: “On the boys side right at the end of the year, we had a couple of guys on JV that earned their way up to varsity. Troy Binns just missed out on a state meet by 16 pins. The girls scores were about what I expected, Brigette had a good day at the state qualifier but just fell short.”
Troy Binns was the boys leader in nearly every statistical category including total pins at 3,636, he had a high game of 277 and a high series of 437. On the girls side Brigette Renard was the leader with total pins at 2,966, a high game of 212 and high series of 362. Both Binns and Renard will return for their respective senior seasons next year for the Panthers.
