
The Norwalk boys track team secured six top-8 finishes and tied for seventh in Class 4A at Thursday’s IATC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The meet was held at the Lied Recreation Center on the campus of Iowa State University.
The Warriors scored 28 points on the day, led by junior Kaiden Kunze placing second in the high jump (6-1), fourth in the 200-meter dash (22.61) and seventh in the 60-meter dash (7.10). Tony Anania placed third in the 800 with a time of 1:56.64 and Daniel Roche took sixth in the 400 in 50.73 seconds. Norwalk also placed fifth in the 4×800 relay as AJ Mosqueda, Grant Wallace, Anania and Aksel Beedon clocked a time of 8:12.72.
The Norwalk girls will take a partial squad to today’s IATC Girls Indoor Championships in Ames.
