A Knoxville man has been arrested for felony criminal mischief after allegedly breaking a window at a local restaurant. 

According to court records, on March 14th at approximately 6:33 pm Knoxville Police Officers were dispatched for a man breaking a window at El Rey Azteca Mexican restaurant in Knoxville. The male was later identified as 43-year-old Curtis Redmon of Knoxville. Officers were told that Redmond ran east on Montgomery St. and three people provided the same description of Redmon to the officers and the dog he was with. At approximately 7:07 pm that same night, officers got a call of the man matching Redmon’s description and then were called to the 600 block of E Main St. for a fight in progress. One of the parties who walked away from the fight matched the description of Redmon.

Officers arrived and told Redmon to get to the ground, and allegedly he did not comply and kept walking so officers gave more verbal commands which Redmon did not comply with and was then tackled to the ground.. Redmon is charged with Second Degree Criminal Mischief, which is a Class D Felony, along with interference with official acts and public intoxication which are misdemeanors.
