The Indianola City Council will meet in a series of special meetings throughout the week, including the Maximum Property Tax Levy Hearing, a regular session, and multiple special closed session meetings.

The council will first meet Monday in the Maximum Property Tax Levy Hearing, as required by state law to set the maximum property tax levy for the FY26 budget. Assistant City Manager Wade Wagoner tells KNIA News the maximum property tax levy is only the maximum the city is allowed to collect, not necessarily what the levy rate will be set at for the upcoming budget.

The council will also meet in regular session Monday evening, followed by a pair of closed sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday to hold interviews for the vacant Indianola City Manager position.
