The Indianola girls track and field only lost a handful of seniors from last year’s standout team, bringing back state qualifiers in sprints, distance running, hurdles, and the throwers among others. Head coach Morgan Singleton tells KNIA News a lot of credit goes to her assistant coaches, especially with the growth of the throwers over the last several years.
“I want to give a big shout out to Coach (Mitch) Curtis and Coach (Jeremy) Whalen, because they really put in a lot of hours with those kids and are very dedicated to our throwers and it shows. We’ve got really good leadership for our throw squad with those two coaches, and really strong leaders among our athletes too.”
