Indivisible Warren County held a demonstration outside of the Indianola office of Congresswoman Marianette Miller-Meeks Thursday afternoon.

Mary Corsair with Indivisible Warren County tells KNIA News many attendees read letters written to Congresswoman Miller-Meeks about issues they felt were important and wanted a response after being unable to set up a meeting with either the Congresswoman or staff.

“A major concern by a lot of us was just the way that things are happening at the federal level that don’t seem to be carefully thought through or following the law. Some examples of that have to do with the way that this DOGE team, which is not even an official department within the federal government, has been given power to go into so many federal and even non-federal agencies firing thousands of people without following the laws set forth to do that.”
