Efforts to expand and better equip the Emergency Department at MercyOne Newton Medical Center will be boosted by an upcoming fundraiser Saturday, April 26th. That’s when MercyOne Newton will host the hospital’s 13th annual Gala at the Newton DMACC Conference Center. Tickets are now available and all proceeds raised will go to improve the emergency department. MercyOne Newton Medical Center says the emergency room is the busiest department in the hospital, and serves over 10,000 patients annually. 

The Gala includes a social time at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. followed by a dessert auction and live and silent auctions. There will also be a few other activities.
