A part-time administrative assistant at the Jasper County Emergency Management Agency will be transitioned into a  full-time role this summer. Jasper County Human Resources Director Dennis Simon got unanimous approval of the change from the County Supervisors at their meeting on Tuesday.

“We have a part-time administrative assistant for Emergency Management. Jamey, our director, has requested that we expand this to a full-time position.”

Emergency Management Agency Director Jamey Robinson said the local Emergency Management Commission approved the full-time position effective July 1st. Supervisor and Board Chairman Brandon Talsma said he felt the extra help was warranted due to the expanded work being done by the agency.
