United Way of Jasper County’s “Voices of Inspiration” series continues tonight with former Iowa Lottery CEO and author Terry Rich. He is the fourth of five speakers for the second annual spring series. United Way of Jasper County Executive Director Jessica Lowe Vokes says the free speakers are meant to inspire, motivate, and inform Jasper County residents. 

“Terry was in charge of the Iowa Lottery when a huge scandal broke out with a ticket that won millions of dollars. People tried a scam and he was in charge of unraveling that mystery and securing the Iowa Lottery. I am excited to hear what he has to say about lessons he learned in that.” 

Vokes says the speaker series aligns with the core mission of United Way of Jasper County, which is to uplift and empower the community, and promote life-long learning. Doors to the DMACC Auditorium on the Newton Campus will open at 6:00 pm tonight for first come first serve seating. Rich is scheduled to begin speaking at 6:30 pm. Free-will donations will also be accepted to help continue the speaker series.
