The Knoxville RAGBRAI Executive Committee presented checks this week to organizations who received one of their five $1,000 grants.

Over 1,200 votes were cast for 13 non-profit organizations who applied to receive funding from revenue earned at RABRAI’s overnight stop in Knoxville last July. The grant recipient winners include Habitat for Humanity of Marion County, Freedom for Youth Knoxville, Helping Hands Food Pantry, Knoxville Alumni Association, and Heart of Transit. The committee will also use the revenue for a “Welcome to Knoxville” sign for people to see as they come into town.
